Playboy makeover made by Photoshop

This is a fun video from an amateur Photoshopper which doesn’t prove anything (besides that Photoshop is pure fun) but makes you think if Hollywood was the same without Photoshop.

Display of high-dynamic-range-images

Watch out for some serious imaging-nerd-stuff. Frédo Durand and Julie Dorsey have published a paper for a fast bilateral filter with better accuracy and formal analysis on their project page. Their technique reduces the contrast while preserving the details and they offer a PDF as well as sample code for download.

Winds of change blowing for Kodak

This is actually my favourite “Kodak moment”. I picked this up via John Nack’s blog:
